Happy 1st Day of March

This past Saturday Kevin and I went to St. Augustine with our friends Melissa & Jonathan from our Connection Group (Sunday School). Jonathan is also in the Navy, so now I have another Navy Wife to hang out with!! :)  For lunch we went to a restaurant called Beachcomber. It's right off of the beach, and you'll never guess what I ate...*drum roll please*  Fried Gator Tail. My Dad was quite impressed, because I am not one to try new foods, although lately I've been a little adventurous (if that's what you want to call it). It was really good, tasted like chicken. I was worried that I wasn't going to like it. Anywho, I also went to the ladies room ( I promise this is a funny story), which happened to be 1 stall, so the walls were from the floor to the ceiling, as well as the door. So I go to unlock the door to leave, well the door wouldn't open. I kept pushing and eventually kicked the door, but it wasn't budging. Thankfully I had my cell phone in my pocket, and called Melissa and told her that I was locked in the bathroom. Melissa pulled and I pushed on the door, I even kicked the door again. Eventually it opened, thankfully!!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I'd get locked in a restroom at a restaurant. I can't help to laugh, every time I tell the story.
After lunch we went to the Oldest House in America Museum. It was pretty neat.
The 4 of us, with the Oldest House in America behind us.

After that we walked down George St. which is the main street, and got some gelato. We sampled some flavors before ordering, and that made it even harder to decide which flavors I wanted. In a small bowl you get 2 flavors. I got mint and white kiss. It was delicious!!! Later we headed back to meet up with John and Katie (John leads our connection group, and Katie is expecting their 1st child) for dinner. We had some Irish food, it was delicious too!! After dinner all of us went bowling. It was a great day!!

Yesterday Melissa and I went to the fitness center on base and went to a Zumba class. It was a lot of fun!! Yes you may feel silly doing it, but it's a fun workout!! I definitely recommend everyone to go, even men!!!  :)

Hope you're all having a good week!! :)

P.S. I apologize for the HUGE picture...but now you can really see it!! :)

  1. Is that the Oldest House or the Biggest House in America? Nice photo. :) I've wanted to go on that tour but haven't yet. Worth it?
